    Overview:
    Sign-On Bonus Eligible $1,500 for external candidates and internal new graduates

    Starting pay for this position is $17.60/hour.


    POSITION SUMMARY:


    The Digital Care Medical Assistant in the Digital Health Contact Center is responsible for handling non-acute triage clinical calls at an age and developmental level that is suitable for each individualized patient or caregiver.

    Responsible for providing care to patients in a variety of environments. Works collaboratively with patients, caregivers, providers, and nurses to ensure that patient care needs are met.


    The Medical Assistants will utilize various digital platforms to deliver exceptional care and facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.


    The Medical Assistant demonstrates service excellence and accountability, through recognizing the direct relationship between cost-effectiveness and efficient provision of care, while providing services that positively impact OSF HealthCare Key Results.


    Qualifications:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    High School Diploma/ GED


    Experience:
    1 year experience in a clinical setting.

    Accurate typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.


    Other Skills/ Knowledge:
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

    Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

    Demonstrated ability to efficiently utilize current technology within environment they are working, utilizing available tools/resources in daily work flow.


    Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and nonverbal communication utilizing open and honest communication with peers, patients, caregivers, providers, and all others.


    Demonstrates compassion and respect towards others and values the personal worth and dignity of all who interact with the department.


    Responds to stressful situations in a calm, rational manner and cooperates with all to facilitate integrated patient care that exceeds expectations.

    Demonstrated ability to respect the confidentiality rights and regulations of patients and Mission Partners. Discusses confidential information only in appropriate settings and only when necessary.

    Demonstrates an understanding of "need to know" with respect to confidential and private information.

    Completion of Medical Assistant program


    Experience:
    Preferred 3 years working in a healthcare-related job.
