Talascend is currently seeking a hybrid Buyer for a contract position in Moorestown, New Jersey.


SHIFT:
4 days a week, 10 hour days

First shift.

5:00 am to 3:30 pm

Hybrid.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sources, negotiates, and purchases commodity level parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.

Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.

Monitors performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.

Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.

Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.

Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.

Reviews proposals, manages post PO award activity including open orders follow up, delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.

May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.


REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree.

Buyer 1+ years of experience.

Proficient in MS Excel with 2+ years of hands-on experience.

Advanced SAP skills with 1+ years of proven experience.


PAY:
Between $32-$35 an hour depending upon experience.
