    The Office of Family Assistance

    This position is located in the Office of Family Assistance (OFA). OFA oversees cash and food assistance programs, work support programs for recipients of cash and food assistance, refugee program services, and adult protective services.     What You'll Do

    This position will provide customer service support to help desk line for the Office of Family Assistance and will be an intermittent, part time position. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
    • Handle inbound and outbound phone calls in a professional manner.
    • Accurately respond to inquiries in writing in a professional manner via mail and email
    • Use call tracking system, and other data bases; innerweb and internet
    • Research case information, policies, procedures and state and federal regulations.
    • Accurately interpret applicable state and federal laws and regulations
    • Work closely with colleagues to answer questions appropriately
    • Work both independently and as a member of a team
    • Maintain both a call and email tracker
    • Perform other related duties as assigned, attends, and participates in meetings, and training
    • Operate personal computer to produce correspondence, reports and other documents; maintain logs, records, and files.
    Schedule: Part time/Temporary - with a minimum of 3 days per week (24 hours/week up to a maximum of 29 hours/week). Monday through Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Remote.

    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:

    OPTION 1:
    • Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, health or pre-medicine or comparable field and 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.
    -OR OPTION 2 :
    • Completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related or comparable field and 6 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.
    -OR OPTION 3 :
    • Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
    Technical & Professional Skills Utilized: e nthusiasm; customer-service focused; ability to multitask; strong interpersonal skills; organization; ability to operate personal computer and call tracking system.

    This position is in the State of Ohio's 1199 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 12. This is an intermittent Part-Time/Temporary position, step 1, $28.92. This position does not receive step increases and will remain at step 1.
