    Description
    Gridiron IT is seeking multiple Security Engineer's to support a federal program on a 100% remote basis.

    Role Description:

    Jr to mid-level cyber security engineer; responsible for maintaining & building security tools, primarily Tier 3 troubleshooting & engineering for various products.

    3+ years of work experience in Cybersecurity & IT. Linux experience or knowledge a must have - CentOS/RHEL preferred. Administering/troubleshooting/building Linux servers required. Manage daily operations & administration of servers & software in an enterprise while following change management guidance & policy.

    Familiarity or experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) preferred; Splunk (SIEM) & Swimlane (SOAR) desired; project maintenance, to include documentation, coordination, & handoff of project artifacts to key personnel.

    Strong background in IT; security engineering specifically.

    Demonstrated understanding of Cybersecurity practices; learn new products and tools, work & communicate in a team setting, take direction from multiple sources & work on multiple projects simultaneously; learning new tasks, environment.

    Experience administering/troubleshooting/building Linux servers required.

    Familiarity or experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) preferred but not required.
    Familiarity with Splunk (SIEM) and Swimlane (SOAR) desired but not required.
    Strong background in IT in general, security engineering specifically.

    Ability and willingness to work and communicate in a team setting, take direction from multiple sources and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

    Work with other teams and team members in order to coordinate projects, security tool maintenance, buildout, and troubleshooting as neededFamiliarity with project maintenance, to include documentation, coordination, and handoff of project artifacts to key personnel.

    Eagerness to work on new tasks, learn a new environment, and absorb knowledge as needed.

    3-5 years of work experience in Cybersecurity engineeringExperience with developing/integrating cybersecurity designs for systems andnetworksExperience with documenting and addressing organizational informationsecurity, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineeringrequirementsExperience with developing system security context, a preliminary systemsecurity CONOPS, and define baseline system security requirements inaccordance with applicable cybersecurity requirementsExperience with documenting the protection needs (i.e.

    security controls) forinformation system(s) and network(s)Ability to perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, anddevelop a security risk management planAbility to develop a system security context, a preliminary system securityCONOPS, and define baseline system security requirements in accordancewith applicable cybersecurity requirementsExperience with vulnerability scanning tools to include those supportingoperation system, web application, database assessments,Skill in translating operational requirements into protection needs (i.e.

    security controls)Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) work experienceHands on experience with Windows/Linux operations to include configuration, maintenance, and management

    Cybersecurity Certifications:
    At least one of the following: CISSP, CCSP,CCNA, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GIAC, SSCP, Security+ (or equivalentas approved by the Government)

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in computer/engineering science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred OR 3-5 years of work experience in Cybersecurity engineering
