ICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a requirement for every other weekend and holiday support.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical ICU settings and be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients with a focus on advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Assist providers with bedside procedures as needed, such as chest tube insertion and intubations.
• Coordinate with the charge nurse and staff RNs to ensure quality care and patient safety.
• Document all patient care activities using the Cerner documentation system.
• Participate in bedside shift reports and perform nurse leader rounding.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Medical ICU experience in a large facility.
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Strong critical thinking and flexibility to work well with others.
• Advanced skills in critical care pharmacology, including IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
