    Profectus Livestock Solutions (PLS), a new company with a long history of helping farmers find solutions to grow their farm operation, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to perform daily accounting tasks to support our Company. This full-time position is at our corporate office in Worthington Minnesota. PLS offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

    Job Summary: The Accounting Specialist will perform bookkeeping, accounting assignments and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment in areas of A/P, A/R, GL, as well as other accounting areas in line with our established guidelines.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    · Prepares and gather information for financial reports and various accounting statements.

    · Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy.

    · Complies and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.

    · Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.

    · Monitors accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date

    · Codes data for input to financial systems according to company's procedures.

    · Organizes and maintains file systems and files correspondence and other records.

    · Process A/P among entities. Analyze accounts to maintain A/P system for accuracy and completeness.

    · Prepare bank deposits and record transactions

    · Support monthly reconciliation and analysis associated with the General Ledger balances and provide analysis in variances in accounts.

    · Other accounting and administrative duties will be assigned to provide support for the daily operation and day-to-day needs.

    · Answers and routes telephone calls, as needed

    · Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Qualifications

    · 3+ years of related experience as a Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist experience

    · Min of a 2-year associate degree in accounting preferred

    · Solid knowledge of accounting principles

    · Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to follow-up on multiple issues and be deadline driven.

    · Strong communication skills (verbal, written), incl. presentation skills, and effective problem-solving skills

    · Must be proficient in Excel. Strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office products required.

    · Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
