    Description
    Certified Home Health Aide | NJ, Newton

    00 per hour

    Assists patient with all aspects of personal and oral hygiene which includes bathing (complete and assisted), care of hair and skin and backrubs.

    Follows a bowel/bladder training program; provides bowel/bladder incontinence care and assists with all aspects of toileting.
    Performs all aspects of catheter care according to policy and procedure.
    Demonstrates safe and effective use of hoyer lift as instructed and demonstrated by the RN.
    Assists with post-mortem care as instructed by the RN.

    Incorporates consideration of the physiological and developmental age of patients into the overall plan for the delivery of patient care.

    Participates in all required in service education programs and meetings.
    Adheres to employment policies in accordance with the Employee Handbook

    Demonstrates compliance with the dress code policy by appearing well groomed, wearing ID badge while on duty and maintaining a professional appearance.

    Knowledge of skills required to provide excellent care in accordance with the role of Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) in an in-home hospice environment
    Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families, nurses and employees, and patients and families via telephone and in person
    Ability to comprehend the spoken and written English language, to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing.
    Well organized to manage time, prepare care-related documentation

    Ability to utilize a cell phone and GPS to move about as assigned to various patient homes throughout the service area.

    High School diploma or equivalent. Must possess current NJ Board of Nursing Home Health Aide Certification.
    Experience working as a CHHA in a hospice environment.
