Description
Perform comprehensive behavioral health nursing assessments and histories to plan, provide and direct nursing care across the continuum of care.
Administer many psychotropic and complex medications and make independent judgments in the administration of PRN medication.Educate patient and family members regarding the disease process, treatment modalities, diagnostic procedures, use of equipment related to disease/care, and possible adverse reactions to medications.
Develop and present classes related to psychiatric/behavioral health nursing to enhance the knowledge base of peers and subordinates.Identify patient problems and generate nursing diagnoses.
