At 80 Acres Farms, we're on a mission to change the way the world eats—and we're looking for people who want to help us do it.


We grow pesticide-free salads, herbs, microgreens, and salad kits in smart vertical farms that produce more food with far fewer resources—using up to 95% less water and renewable electricity, with no reliance on weather or seasons.

Our produce is available in more than 17,000 retail locations nationwide, including Kroger, Whole Foods, HEB, and The Fresh Market, and reaches foodservice partners across the country year-round.

What makes this possible is a combination of people, technology, and purpose.

Our proprietary growing platform, developed by our technology subsidiary, Infinite Acres, provides our teams with real-time data and control over every aspect of the growing environment—making our farms among the most advanced in the world.

We operate commercial farms in Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, and Colorado, packhouses in Indiana, Virginia, and Washington, and research and development facilities in Arkansas, Israel, and the Netherlands.

We've grown significantly through the acquisitions of Kalera and Soli Organic, and we're just getting started.

POSITION OVERVIEW


Are you passionate about fostering a positive and productive work environment in a fast-paced production environment? As a Human Resources Generalist, you'll play a pivotal role in our daily HR operations.

Bring your expertise in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leadership development, and compliance to help us thrive.


You'll be instrumental in creating a supportive and compliant workplace for both our hourly production employees and salaried staff located at the site.

Your collaboration with our farm operations team will drive a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, continuous learning, high performance, and inclusion.

This role supports a large Spanish-speaking employee population and requires conducting investigations, performance conversations, and benefits discussions in Spanish. Professional fluency in Spanish and English is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Employee Relations

Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns with discretion and confidentiality

Support positive employee relations by resolving workplace issues, coaching supervisors, and implementing engagement initiatives

Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies

Recruitment & Onboarding

Collaborate with TA specialist on recruitment for hourly production and salaried roles at the site

Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and paperwork

Work with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and workforce planning

Manage staffing partner relationship

Performance Management

Support managers in performance processes and provide guidance on goal-setting, coaching, and corrective action when necessary

Partner with managers to develop action plans for underperforming employees and support succession planning initiatives

Compliance & Recordkeeping

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, etc.) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes

Manage employee records and documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with retention policies

Benefits Administration

Assist employees with benefits inquiries, enrollments, and changes, and liaise with the benefits manager as needed

Lead benefits orientations for new hires and assist with open enrollment processes

Training & Development

Coordinate and deliver training on HR-related topics, such as harassment prevention, safety, and company policies

Track completion of mandatory trainings to ensure compliance

HR Projects and Initiatives

Participate in the planning and execution of HR projects, including employee engagement activities and policy rollouts

Collect, analyze, and report HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism) to support decision-making and improve HR practices


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience

2+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Fluent in Spanish and English

Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve issues in a fair, consistent, and timely manner


Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with HRIS (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite


Working Conditions:
Office environment within a food production facility; requires regular interaction with site floor employees

Exposure to 38-degree temperatures in pack area
