    Details:

    Electromagnetic Compatibility and Interference (EMC/EMI) test experience to support testing both Emission and Immunity Testing for Radio Frequency secured Systems.


    Have you tested High Altitude Source Fields? Able to design in environmental effects of Gamma Source, Residual Ionization, or Atmospheric Scattering? Could you calculate the Lienard-Wiechert relation? Are you able to ensure; SE = R + A + Rr; shielding effectiveness via loss of reflection, loss of absorption, and secondary loss of reflection?

    If you understand the elementary Testing for Electromagnetic effects, live in the commutable area of Grand Prairie, TX then we want to discuss this following opportunity:


    EMC/EMI E3 Engineer impact:

    • Design products to survive electromagnetic environmental effects,
    • Develop requirements based on program requirements and physics rather than legacy program requirements,
    • Ensure that designs meet system driven EMI/EMC requirements,
    • Work in a multi-disciplined team of electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical engineers,
    • Set up and conduct EMC tests in accordance with the MIL-STD-461 test standard.

    Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

    o Bachelor of Science - Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of E3 development experience (Master Degree in lieu of 2 years of experience; PHD in lieu of 4 years of experience)

    o MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464


    o Experience developing E3 requirements:

    • Requirement flow down to subsystems,
    • E3 control plans,
    • Design for E3 requirements
    • Hardware allocation planning

    o Experience with Lab Equipment:

    Spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, RF directional couplers, Oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies, and RF amplifiers.

    o Electrical Static Discharge handling and prevention protocols.


    Desired Skills:

    o Knowledge of E3 effects on military vehicles, fire control systems, missile systems, and munitions, including grounding, bonding, and shielding methods,

    *Designs to minimize radiated emissions

    Susceptibility, HIRF, HERO, Lightning effects, Electromagnetic field coupling, Maxwell's equations, Image charge/current, and Lumped element modeling

    o Knowledge of electrical safety and military EMC compliance standards, requirements, and test methods

    o Proficiency in TILETM (ETS Lindgren EMC automation software) equipment scripts

    o Preparation of test plans/procedures and reports

    o Perform Quantitative E3 analysis,


    Desired Experience:

    o Experience performing testing according to RTCA-DO-160 Sections 18-22,

    o Experience with vulnerability characterization,

    o Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory


    This position is a W-2, E-Verify Position, our team is not able to work with Third Party Vendors in accordance to contractual ITAR requirements.

    This position offers partial benefits and the pay range is $70 to $80 an hour depending on qualifications.
