About the position

EFFECT Photonics is looking for an experienced – Director PLM Coherent & DSP

We are searching for an experienced professional who identifies opportunities in a competitive global landscape. You will own the business case for our coherent transceiver and DSP products, which include products targeting current 100G and future 800G and 1.6T LR, ZR, and ZR+, including the FEC algorithms needed to achieve those. You will be responsible for driving the products throughout their product lifecycle. In this customer-facing role, you will be the product expert internally and externally.

• define, and drive the realization of global strategy and roadmap for the product market.
• and own the business process from A to Z
• accountability
• and prioritizing market requirements (MRDs)
• and prioritizing product and feature requirements (PRDs)
• pricing and margin targets to meet revenue and profitability goals
• the competitive landscape
• a monthly/quarterly/yearly BC/actuals update
• effectively with Sales, Engineering, SCM, Finance, and Operations.
• sales and marketing tools and collateral
• pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
• customers and trade shows to represent the company and the product portfolio

Required / Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The right candidate for the role has a strong background knowledge of the high-tech industry relevant to EFFECT Photonics. You understand the current market dynamics, with a strong focus on Coherent and Digital Signal Processing technology. Because of the customer-facing nature of this role, excellent communication and people skills are a must. You possess the skills to adapt your 'language' to your audience, from engineers to top-level executives, from finance to operations professionals.

• have an extensive network in the industry, allowing you to have direct discussions with our customer's key decision-makers.
• degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a similar field.
• years of experience in a similar role.
