    Overview

    The Reporting & Compliance team supports Deriva Energy's business. Team members actively partner with the business to support a growing portfolio of non-regulated solar and wind assets. The Lead Accounting Analyst - Reporting & Compliance will function primarily in a reviewer role, responsible for reviewing all compliance and reporting aspects of assigned solar and wind operating projects, including various project deliverables (lender requirements under project/portfolio financings including financial statements and debt service coverage ratios among other things), interaction with various internal and external parties, and various compliance reporting. This role requires familiarity with a variety of accounting concepts, practices and procedures to assist with the compliance and reporting of the assigned projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong attributes for accuracy and will be highly detail-oriented with experience in managing and reviewing the work of others, preferably financial statements.

    Responsibilities
    • Review quarterly and annual financial statements for assigned project/portfolio financings/partnerships
    • Review quarterly or semi-annual debt service coverage ratio filings for assigned project/portfolio financings
    • Oversee portions of internal reporting requirements
    • Oversee analytical reviews of assigned projects' results
    • Review annual external audit deliverables for assigned project/portfolio financings/partnerships
    • Become knowledgeable of assigned projects/portfolios by reviewing financing and partnership agreements
    • Ensure compliance with debt covenants, and any new applicable accounting standards
    • Interface with lenders, JV partners, external auditors, vendors and consultants as required
    • Complete ad hoc requests for internal and external parties or special projects, as assigned
    • Potentially supervise and support the development of direct reports
    Qualifications - Basic
    • Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
    • Eight (8) plus years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field in addition to degree
    • Possesses and applies fundamental accounting and finance concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Experience with financial applications (i.e., OneStream, Cubes, etc.) and query tool (WebI)
    • Experience using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and Power Point
    • Experience in supervising and developing direct reports
    Qualifications - Desired
    • Certified Public Accountant
    • Ten (10) plus years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field
    • Strong technical skills and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
    • Public accounting experience (Big Four/large regional)
    • Experience with company consolidation and limited liability company/partnership accounting
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Proficiency with OneStream and Cubes
    • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and foster good relationships with teammates and business partners
    • Demonstrated ability to lead the work of others, serve as a subject matter expert, recommending best practices based on expertise and institutional knowledge, communicating complex concepts to management, and representing management in their absence
