    Job title: landfill gas technician

    Description

    About the Job:

    • The individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining GCCS, which consists of a series of extraction points known as wells, interconnected via piping.
    • The collected gas is transported using gas conveyance equipment, such as a fan or blower.
    • Prior experience in the Waste/Landfill industry, construction, and/or environmental field work experience and experience operating heavy equipment are preferred.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Properly operate and maintain GCCS to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance.
    2. Calibrate, operate and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices necessary to optimize LFG collection from the wellfield.
    3. Collect and manage data entry from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations.

    Work Environment:

    The technician will work outdoors approximately 80% of each workday, exposed to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements. They will be required to walk over steep and rough terrain for considerable distances daily and wear personal protective equipment in accordance with company Health and Safety standards.
