Aspen is on the final stages of their project in PHX10 DC in Goodyear. They need 8 Technicians (Green Techs & Tech 1's ) to help them complete the last two colocation suites.
Green technicians- Ideally young/hungry people who are trying to start a career as a technician.
Tech 1's- Techs that have worked pulling cable 1-1.5 years of experience.
Aspen Technologies is looking for reliable and hardworking cable technicians who can show up everyday and work the entire shift.
TECH 1's will be working with pre-terminated fiber for a variety of systems and cameras for whatever the system is that the client will disclose. Examples are running cables for EPMS or BAS etc. This person will be doing support work, hanging wire, installing those pathways and all of the work will be in live data center environment.
Main job duties will include: Cable installing, cable dressing, labeling, material management for cable installing (pre-terminated fiber).
GREEN TECHS: Spotting the techs on the scissor lifts and running cable. Aspen will train them on how to do this.
All technicians will report to the project Superintendent.
Schedule: 8-HOUR DAYS Monday- Friday. 5:30AM Stretch & Flex
OT on Saturdays will be asked when techs are proven capable and reliable.
TOOLS/PPE: Aspen will provide Safety gloves and glasses. Candidates need to bring their own SAFETY VEST, BOOTS (steel/carbon toe), HARD HATS & FACE MASKS.
Since they will mainly be dressing, labeling & connecting fiber they do not need to bring tools. If they do at some point Aspen will provide the tools.
CONTRACT-TO-HIRE: If techs are proven to be reliable & efficient they will be asked to convert FTE.
FIRST DAY ON THE JOB: Techs need to be onsite at 6:30AM for Orientation (everyday after is a 5:30am start).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Data Center experience. Need to be presentable and ready to learn. Constantly asking "what can I do next". Be able to show up on time. MUST BRING THERE OWN STEEL/CARBON TOE BOOTS
