    Travel Contract - Computed Tomography Technologist Number of positions: 1 Shift: Day shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks
    Start Date: 08/16/2023 Hourly pay: $52.41 OT: 1.5

    Weekly Pay:
    $1,965 JOB DESCRIPTION The CT Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality images. The CT Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

    CT Scan Shift timings:

    Rotational Shift Roles & Responsibilities Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.

    Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies. Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes. Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients. Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions. Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues. Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality. Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

    The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills.

    Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Graduate from a fully accredited Computed Tomography Technologist program Minimum three years of Computed Tomography Technologist experience Active unencumbered CT Tech New Jersey state license Requirements:

    Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

    A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

    Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
