Job Description:
The Marketing and Communications Specialist for the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases at UF Health leads the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives, including cost-effective, research-based, measurable communications strategies, to raise awareness of the institute, its missions, and the faculty's clinical, research and educational advances, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the institute's reputation among critical audiences, including the research community and the public.
Conceptualizes, develops and produces content for a variety of communications channels, including the institute's online web and social media presence, to engage critical stakeholder audiences as a member of the UF Health Communications and Fixel Institute teams.
The incumbent should be a strong and versatile writer with excellent organization and creative skills who develops and produces content for a variety of programs, using traditional and multimedia strategies.
The Marketing and Communications Specialist reports jointly to the Assistant Vice President for External Communications for UF Health and the Fixel Institute Chief Operating Officer and is accountable to the institute's Executive Director and Co-director to support the vision, goals and strategic initiatives identified as priority areas of focus.
Expected Salary:
$45,600 - $55,000
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an associate's degree and five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
