    Job Description:

    The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in enhancing our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and driving improvements in our financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in public accounting, hold a CPA designation, and have experience with NetSuite. This position requires a deep understanding of financial statement preparation, account and bank reconciliations, and the dynamics of a private equity-backed environment.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Transform the Month-End Close Process: Streamline and optimize the month-end close procedure to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • NetSuite Proficiency: Utilize NetSuite to enhance financial operations, including system optimizations and ensuring accurate financial data.
    • Bank and Account Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records for all transactions.
    • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; and advise management on needed actions.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to support overall company objectives and financial goals.
    • Private Equity Experience: Leverage experience in private equity (PE) environments to navigate financial complexities and drive value creation.
    • Audit and Public Accounting Experience: Utilize public accounting experience and CPA credentials to enhance financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for public accounting and PE-backed company experience.
    • Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
