The Pathfinder Network (TPN) has been providing justice-system impacted individuals and their families the tools and support they need to be safe and thrive in our communities.As a Peer Support Specialist, you will provide one-on-one and group peer support services to justice system-involved individuals who are in need of support and services.
You will work with parole and probation officers, DHS workers, other community providers to ensure participant compliance
and success. You will provide information referral for employment housing food clothing transportation coordinate services with other providers maintain communication with other providers assist in planning hosting quarterly peer support positive recovery community events transport clients complete required documentation track participant attendance participation complete thorough timely case notes facilitate classes using standardized curriculum delivery model substitute classes facilitate groups plan review prepare materials facilitation attend program informational orientation sessions teach coach model positive recovery cognitive social skills individually groups reinforce progress utilize incentives motivate behavior participate shared leadership focus creating racial equity participate cross departmental committees teams employee resource groups contribute individualized skills knowledge experience expertise help agency reach mission embody cultural values communicate effectively value respect demonstrate accountability display self awareness engage personal work further diversity equity inclusion belonging commit ongoing work move TPN toward more diverse equitable inclusive just organization interact racially diverse teams apply racial equity lens commit ongoing work required move TPN toward more diverse equitable inclusive just organization deliver high quality services impact excellence lived experience relational collaborative skills capability thrive position consistently deliver high quality services impact excellence awareness trauma informed practices approaches delivering peer support experiences working mental health substance abuse treatment agencies facilitating groups basic level computer capabilities web based environments word processing email spreadsheet data entry excellent written verbal communication abilities present diverse audiences specifically racial ethnic gender expression socioeconomic education spiritual cultural backgrounds possess valid driver license access motor vehicle adequate car insurance pass criminal history background check employment verification drug screen which includes testing marijuana.
