School Psychologist - 1.0 FTE - Hastings High School and Non-Public Schools school year)Compensation/Benefit Information
Salary Range per the Teacher Master Agreement $50,951 - $88,905

Qualifications
Completion of graduate program in School Psychology that is
(a) approved by NASP (preferred) or
(b) consistent with NASP's Standards for Training and Field Placement Programs in School Psychology or
(c) was accredited, at the time of the applicant's graduation, by an agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
Completion of supervised internship in school psychology, full-year preferred.
Valid Minnesota License in School Psychology or eligible for license through the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB)
National School Psychologist Certification (NCSP) or NCSP-eligible, preferred.
Demonstrates continued professional development though course work, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development.

Essential Functions
Coordinates with school staff for child-find activities and Child Study Review Team (CSRT) processes and meetings, e.g., building pre-referral and referral process, early childhood screening, district assessments, and other agency referrals.
Implements and maintain record keeping system that results in district compliance with federal and state regulations.
Administers tests, observations and rating scales as per evaluation plan.
Interprets evaluation results, verbally and in writing.
Facilitates team meetings to discuss results, determine eligibility, and identify student needs.
Integrates team's evaluation findings in a comprehensive evaluation report that meets legal and professional standards.
Develops Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with team members.
Educates staff on understanding of disabilities and the ways they may impact education, per Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) criteria.
Leads staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and behavior/academic interventions.Consults with teachers regarding FBA procedures, review, and as necessary conduct FBAs on students with high behavior in your assigned building.
Participates in data collection activities necessary to develop, implement, and evaluate interventions and progress.Serves as a liaison between Special Services office and building sites. Communicates information from Special Services department to buildings/programs and helps facilitate and lead department meetings at assigned site(s).
Oversees special education processes at sites and programs.
Develops plans and assist with crisis intervention at building and/or district levels and help facilitate social group skills as needed.
Provides direct or in-direct related services to help meet the needs of students with education plans.Work with students in crisis to help learn calming techniques, enabling students to problem solve on their own without assistance.
Plans and provides training as needed at building levels.Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Director/Supervisor of Special Services, and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
