Job summary
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician or mid-level provider by performing various duties including interviewing patients and providing office services such as vital sign measurement temperature blood pressure weight height medical history recording preparing treatment rooms draping patients with covering positioning instruments equipment handing instruments materials to provider as directed inventorying ordering medical supplies materials calling medical facilities to schedule appointments for tests giving injections treatments timely logging information required scheduling appointments ancillary services maintaining office patient records responsible for maintaining equipment logs lab controls in-house testing inventory handling stocked medications managing difficult emotional customer situations responding promptly customer needs understanding computer software general knowledge electronic medical record program assisting all areas clinic needed other duties assigned.
