- The Clinical Appeal Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing, researching and appealing all Clinical Denials received for the organization. The Clinical Appeal Coordinator will need to conduct any training and education that is needed as a result of those denials. The Clinical Appeal Coordinator will work with Business Services, Health Information and Management as well as work with various departments on any clinical denials received.
- Minimum Education Graduate of Approved RN Program and/or Certified Coding Degree w/ experience
- Minimum Work Experience 3 years
- Required Licenses/Certifications Registered RN
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Answer telephones Balance figures Compiles and analyze reports Compose applicable policies and procedures Compose letters/memorandums Compose pertinent policies and procedures Coordinate meetings Develop and compile statistical data Develop office procedures Develop program indicators Establish, chair and/or coordinate events Generate reports Maintain filing systems Maintain logs Maintain patient charts Use computerized spreadsheets to conduct analysis
