    This position is for a staff Engineering Services and Support technician who is under moderate supervision. Performs moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.
    Will work to perform tests and evaluate results for Carrier Commercial Chillers in an engineering laboratory
    Connect and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems on Charlotte manufactured equipment
    Familiarity with electrical work, including machinery and medium voltage industrial power supplies
    Familiarity with HVAC operation, refrigerant handling, and EPA certification is a plus
    Experience with pumps, VFDs, boilers, control valves, and PLC operation is a plus
    LO/TO controls troubleshooting and Arc Flash training is helpful
    Works under moderate supervision to provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering tasks
    Performs basic to moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects
    Operates, inspects and maintains test setups and equipment to detect malfunctions
    Collaborates with higher-level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results

    3+ years of experience with HVAC Service and Systems
    1+ years of experience with hand/pneumatic tools, complex measuring equipment, precision measuring instruments

    Strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting background, and be mechanically inclined
    Commercial HVAC or other large commercial equipment testing in a laboratory environment
    Use of laboratory equipment with pressure, temperature, and electrical measurements is very important
    HP Agilent systems, Lab Pro, Labview, and MS office products preferred
    Experience with VFD's pumps, cooling towers, heavy electrical switchgears, motor controls centers
    Measurement techniques, test report writing, systems troubleshooting, data integrity and traceability
