    Description


    The Sales Associate will be responsible for placing merchandise on sales floor, maintaining cleanliness and organization of front of store, and providing cashier and customer service.

    It is the duty of the Sales Associate to hold to the mission, vision, and core values of The Foundry.

    The Associate must be willing to sign The Foundry's Statement of Faith.

    The Associate reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for upholding the policies as set forth by the Board of Directors.

    The responsibilities of the Associate include, but are not limited to the duties defined in this responsibility description.


    Responsibility Description:
    Support management in daily store operations and ensure store procedures and protocol is followed by staff and program participantsProvide cashier and/or carry out services as scheduledMaintain sales floor organization, stock, and cleanlinessAssist Shipping and Receiving Manager to unload, sort, and process donationsWork alongside program participants in a professional mannerCommunicate issues and concerns regarding program participants to managementMaintain program participant confidentiality at all timesQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma, High School Equivalency, or GEDTwo (2) years' retail and/or thrift store experienceProven competencies in sales, products, and serviceRequirements:Valid state issued driver license and clean driving recordFunctional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and emailMust be trustworthy to handle high volumes of cash dailyMust be physically able to lift up to 30 pounds multiple times a dayMust be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to work rotating shift as neededStrong interpersonal skillsProven ability to resolve issues in a calm and efficient mannerServant leader; ability to manage multiple personnel in a professional mannerQuick learner and enjoys the challenge of taking on new assignmentsWillingness to be a team playerStaff members of The Foundry Ministries choose to participate in our grace-based environment by:Modeling Christ-like attributes and values though actions, words, and attitudesMaintaining a safe, transparent, and healing environment that is based on grace, truth, love, trust and authenticity without fearEmbracing the accountability process, that leads to personal self-evaluationTeaching and mentoring program participants, volunteers, and peers in every opportunity by using biblical preceptsBuilding healthy, loving, and compassionate relationships with program participants, volunteers, visitors, and staff while establishing healthy and safe boundariesMaintaining a personal lifestyle of integrity, honesty, and responsibilityPraying with program participants, volunteers, guests and staff
