Ability to read blueprints, sketches and select proper tooling for job and determine machine speed and feed rates .Able to perform set ups in timely manner,Must be able to determine what needs to be squared up to start job,Able to read micrometers, calipers and other inspection equipment,Basic shop math, add fractions, decimals convert Metric sizes,Able to read program to determine G&M codes,Compare analyze set-up sheet with existing program sheet to assure accuracy of machine instructions.
Observe operation of machine on trial run to prove programmed instructions.Complete quality paperwork accurately.
Maintain good housekeeping of working area. QualificationsApplicable trade school preferred. 5+ years' experience as machinist or machine operator. Strong mathematical aptitude.
The physical strength and ability to properly handle tooling and to safely set up large work pieces. Own tools of the trade calipers, micrometers wrenches Ability to meet production requirements as specified.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong sense of urgency and dedication to quality. Excellent verbal/written/technical communication.
Dedication to safety throughout all job responsibilities. Ability to display and promote a positive work environment, exhibiting all JBT values and leadership traits.
