Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Ensure food safety regulations are strictly followed, including proper sanitation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
- Fine dining experience is preferred but not required; a passion for culinary arts is essential
