- Administers medications and treatments based on scheduled times and following the medication administration protocol
- Maintains confidentiality of resident and colleague information
- Reports resident condition changes to appropriate personnel
- Assists with monthly medication records as necessary
- Ensures cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart
- Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing various medical equipment
- Capable of taking accurate vital signs and weights
- Flexible to fill in for various roles when needed
- Assists in the care requirements of residents, including lifting up to 40 pounds
- Stays updated on First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration skills
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school graduate preferred
- Caregiver/Medication Technician Certification
- English proficiency is a must
- Regular participation in monthly in-services
- Comfort and willingness to work with the elderly community. Previous experience is beneficial, but not mandatory

The Medication Technician holds responsibility for all tasks related to the safe administration of medications and treatments to residents. This role entails maintaining clear and precise documentation on the medication record and resident chart.
