Summary:
The Roof Repair and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of roof repair and maintenance projects. This role involves coordinating repair teams, conducting inspections, developing maintenance schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. The supervisor will also be responsible for communicating with clients and providing technical expertise to the repair teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Plan, organize, and supervise roof repair and maintenance projects.
Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure timely project completion.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
Inspection and Assessment:
Conduct thorough roof inspections to assess the extent of damage and determine appropriate repair and maintenance strategies.
Document inspection findings and develop detailed repair and maintenance plans.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor repair teams, providing technical guidance and support.
Schedule and coordinate team activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Client Communication:
Interact with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in all repair and maintenance activities.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of project activities, including work schedules, expenses, and progress reports.
Generate comprehensive reports for clients and management, summarizing project status and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in roof repair and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, repair techniques, and safety regulations. Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve project goals.
Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accurate diagnosis of roofing issues and effective implementation of solutions.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in roofing and construction safety (e.g., OSHA certification) are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
