- Perform complete conceptual estimates for large, complex EPC projects from receipt of bid package through final bid review, including: site visits, scope determination, Material Takeoff, input data into computerized estimating systems, questions to Owner/Engineer and qualifications
- Manage the available bid time to insure accurate and timely preparation of a complete estimate
- Function as a team player; create an environment where other groups and individuals want to work with you
- Utilize ability and experience to conceptualize portions of estimate
- Organize and detail the estimate so that manhours can be properly applied, easily understood for review purposes, and efficiently turned over to the field personnel
- Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of all aspects of Construction Estimating and consistently manage bid teams for large, complex projects
- Train and mentor Estimator I and Estimator IIs
- Mastery of technical estimating responsibilities including lead responsibilities such as: site visits and jobsite exposure, understanding RFQ requirements, questions to owner/engineer, turnover of bid estimate to the field, etc.
- Mastery knowledge of discipline specific responsibilities including lead responsibilities such as: material take offs, comprehension of drawings and specifications, manhour analysis, understanding of material pricing, subcontracts, etc.
- May be assigned as the Lead Estimator on estimates
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 7 years of estimating or project management experience in construction (EPC preferred)
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Estimating, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Utility scale solar, wind or battery energy storage estimation experience or estimation for large-scale heavy civil construction projects highly desired, but not required
- Experience leading full bids and coordinating with vendors/subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contract types, and RFP requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (working with cross-functional teams, giving predicable and timely updates, drafting clear and concise technical questions and presenting logical estimates).
- Ability to solve complex problems, lead cross-functional stakeholders, and manage deadlines.
- Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's Zero Injury principles
- Read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents
- Respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints

Overview:As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a key role in delivering utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the U.S. This role goes far beyond quantity takeoffs—you will lead large conceptual EPC bids, shape pricing strategy, evaluate risk, and coordinate directly with Directors, VPs, and Executives to build winning proposals.
Location: You will work onsite from our fast-growing Phoenix, AZ office, supporting projects nationwide while maintaining local stability and minimal job-site travel. This position gives you the opportunity to mentor junior estimators, collaborate across Engineering, Procurement, Scheduling, and Construction, and influence the pursuit of billion-dollar renewable infrastructure projects that support long-term U.S. energy needs.
