RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Night shift with 36 guaranteed hours per week

• Weekend hours as needed on rotating basis

• No call requirements

• Patient ratio typically 1:2, may vary during shift based on needs

• Float requirements include ICU and any progressive unit as needed

• Must have 1+ years of experience

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Must have cardiac/open heart and CABG experience

• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT machine, Abbott Balloon pump, External Vent Drain, Impella, PrismaFlex

• Use EPIC EMR system

• Care for heart surgery and neuro patients (stroke, brain surgery)

• Black scrubs required

• Work in 14-bed unit (expanding to 26 beds)

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care including developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families

The organization holds multiple prestigious certifications including Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification from The Joint Commission, Primary Stroke Center Certification with Gold Seal of Approval, and Missouri Level II Stroke Center and Level I STEMI Center designations.
