- Serve as the program manager and evaluator for the Vascular Access Device (VAD) Training/Education Program at Madigan Army Medical Center.
- Develop educational materials and facilitate communication with patients, families, community groups, all levels of nursing students, and staff regarding subjects related to field of expertise.
- Attend interdisciplinary/patient care conferences and staff meetings as needed.
- Provide direct patient/family care based on Army regulatory and professional standards.
- Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate Vascular Access Devices to fit patients and their needs.
- Insert Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) lines and midlines, perform difficult Peripheral IV insertions for inpatients, access and draw blood from Vascular Access Devices.
