    All positions require that the applicant be a resident of Wyandotte county or willing to relocate within (12) months from the date of hire.

    As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer physical examination and drug screen. And submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
    The Public Health Dept. of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS is seeking a Medical Technologist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist).


    Job Description:
    Clinical laboratory and/or phlebotomy experience is preferred, but not required.

    Employees will be expected to work as part of a laboratory team that has frequent interaction with patients and clinicians.

    Functions within the lab include the performance of venipunctures, microbiology testing, nucleic acid amplification testing, urinalysis, UCGs, TB skin testing, serology, basic hematology, and quality control/assurance activities.


    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in medical technology, biological, chemical, or physical science and one year internship at a hospital laboratory; or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

    Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA). Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.


    Hours:
    40-hour workweek Monday through Friday including evening clinic on Thursdays

    Salary Range:
