This position encompasses area-specific and departmental-wide administration management collaboration education and research Performs a variety of nursing leadership activities within and outside of Prisma Health

Accountabilities

Ensures the quality of patient care within areas of responsibility Facilitates the development and deployment of policy practices and programs that support safety quality and service

Facilitates reviews and approves the budget for assigned departments including estimates future personnel equipment needs Assures hospital resources specific to productivity efficiency are optimally utilized through participating in strategic planning financial budgeting processes negotiation review contracted services development practices achieving specific objectives resolution unfavorable performance variances Provides leadership implements strategies cost effective quality care Coordinates develops implements assures compliance system wide departmental specific policies procedures performance standards practice standards regulatory accreditation requirements stellar service standards Collaborates with staff determine qualifications competence who provide care services Creates atmosphere empower personnel where individual free function highest possible level established lines authority providing assistance needed Educates develops capabilities individual teams promote quality care Partners Medical Director develop clinical service strategies context Prisma Health mission vision values Assures interdisciplinary performance improvement programs active maintained ongoing monitoring evaluation processes patient outcomes Follows up ensure complaints satisfactorily handled Collaborate maintaining departments/services customer-focused level excellence Performs human resource management functions interviewing hiring evaluating counseling assigned management support staff Provides coaching mentoring support consultation managers colleagues staff Fosters empowered workforce role clarification delegation responsibility accountability Maintains professional growth formal education seminars workshops in-services current literature affiliations keep abreast latest trends expertises Supervisory/Management Responsibilities Job direct indirect supervision team members include final budget hire termination appraisal disciplinary authority Considered member management staff Prisma Health affiliate direct reports Minimum Requirements MSN master degree related field required Preferred MSN BSN bachelor degree may considered MOU agreeing enroll accredited applicable master program year obtain master degree two years In lieu bachelor/master DNP PhD Nursing Work Shift Day United States Location Greenville Country US Facility Greenville Memorial Hospital Department Nursing Executives Share talent simple transform healthcare benefits communities serve The transformation healthcare talented individuals every role here at Prisma Health
