- Strong support system The Health system encompasses a 290-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala and a 186-bed hospital located in west Marion County, a freestanding emergency department located in southern Marion County, a freestanding emergency department located on in Ocala, and a freestanding emergency department located on Wildwood. The Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center and the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center. Ocala Health has been consistently growing over the course of the last seven years, having invested over $260 M in capital improvements through 2019, with another $50 M in for capital improvements for 2020. Ocala Health also leads a growing GME program in partnership with UCF.
