- Conducts initial interviews with individuals under supervision, to understand their psychological and social concerns, determining the urgency of their needs.
- Offers professional insight to individuals, suggesting therapy, counseling, or actionable plans.
- Delivers case management and selects appropriate treatment methods for adults, adolescents, and children.
- Provides immediate guidance and therapeutic interventions during emotional crises and psychiatric emergencies.
- Maintains detailed records of therapy sessions, prepares reports, and communicates with relevant parties to gather information.
- Offers telephone counseling, resource guidance, and referral services.
- Participates in departmental activities and projects such as continuous quality improvement initiatives.

- Being an Associate requires fulfilling a set amount of supervisory hours annually.
- Must obtain state licensure within two and a half years of employment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish Level II is mandatory.
