    Infectious Disease Physician Job

    Decatur, Illinois Block Schedule Light Call

    Build a sustainable Infectious Disease practice in Central Illinois with a predictable schedule, strong system support, and a community that values its physicians.

    This full-time Infectious Disease opportunity in Decatur, Illinois allows you to join a growing service line within a stable, well-established health system. You will work alongside experienced Infectious Disease specialists while enjoying a block-based schedule that supports both professional satisfaction and personal balance.

    Practice Highlights
    • Join two Infectious Disease physicians in an expanding and well-supported service line
    • Strong institutional backing with resources to support long-term growth
    • Balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient Infectious Disease care
    • Telehealth support available during inpatient service weeks
    • Practice in a collegial environment focused on high-quality, patient-centered care
    Schedule and Workflow
    • Three weeks of outpatient with no call responsibilities
    • One inpatient week per month with a 24-hour call that is typically very low volume
    • Block-based scheduling for consistency and predictability
    • Designed to support long-term sustainability and work-life balance
    Compensation and Benefits
    • Generous guaranteed salary for the first two years, followed by RVU-based compensation
    • $75,000 sign-on bonus plus annual 5 percent incentive
    • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and malpractice with tail coverage
    • PTO, paid holidays, CME time, and $4,000 annual CME allowance
    • Relocation assistance up to $10,000
    • Employer-sponsored retirement plans
