Job description
Position Goal
The Quote Specialist is responsible for preparing fast, accurate production quotes using modern digital tools including CAD/CAM platforms, AI-assisted workflows, and estimating software such as Paperless Parts and the Online Parts Portal.
This role is hands-on and execution focused — turning customer RFQs into clean, production-ready quotes that support efficient manufacturing and profitable work.

Director of Sales
(Works closely with Operations to ensure quotes reflect real-world production capability)
Work Location
Remote position with occasional travel to our Hegins, PA facility for onboarding, training, or large project collaboration.
Company laptop, accessories, and home office support provided.
Role Description Summary
The Quote Specialist prepares customer quotes using a structured, technology-driven workflow. This includes reviewing drawings and models, analyzing manufacturability, entering data into estimating systems, and producing accurate pricing that reflects real shop conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing RFQs and organizing quote inputs
- Interpreting 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
- Supporting basic Design for Manufacturability (DFM) considerations
- Using estimating software such as:
- Online Parts Portal
- Paperless Parts
- CAM Systems
- Applying shop knowledge for:
- CNC machining
- Welding
- Fabrication
- Finishing processes
- Using AI tools to assist in speed and accuracy of quote preparation
- Supporting quick turnaround targets (typically under 48 hours for standard parts)
This role helps ensure quotes are:
Accurate
Consistent
Aligned with real production capability
Ready for efficient release to manufacturing
Position Requirements
Technical Skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and 3D models
- Familiarity with GD&T fundamentals
- Strong computer skills required
- Experience with or exposure to:
- CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
- CAM (Mastercam or similar) — a plus
- Estimating software
- ERP systems (Fulcrum a plus)
- Excel proficiency required
- Typing proficiency (minimum 60 WPM)
Background
- Associate degree in technical field
or - Tech school graduate in:
- CNC Machining
- Welding
- Manufacturing Technology
- Engineering Technology
- Entry-level candidates with strong digital skills encouraged
