    Snap-on Tools in Elkmont, Alabama is presently seeking candidates for the role of Buyer - Intern. This position will report to the Purchasing Manager. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 or 4:30 p.m. Specifics to the work schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager at the time of an interview.

    Responsibilities:
    • Will learn and use Snap-ons ERP/MRP system to plan/purchase materials used for production.
    • Participate in projects promoting continuous improvement and cost savings.
    • Will shadow the Purchasing Manager to assist/learn how to problem solve effectively.
    • Assist in accounts receivable activities from the production plant level.
    • Other tasks and learning will be developed over the semester to broaden the scope of business aspects of the manufacturing facility.
    Qualifications:
    • Actively enrolled college student pursuing a bachelors degree in business, Logistics, Procurement, or Accounting from an accredited university.
    • Microsoft 365 suite of products: Word, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age or older with a good command of the English language, reading, writing, and speaking.
