We orchestrate the design process with a full range of services, from programming and concept design, through architecture, interior and graphic design, and construction administration services.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a project teams communications, financial performance, and ensuring that the work is completed as planned, budgeted, and scheduled.

The Project Manager works collaboratively with the Project Architect and Project Designer. Together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients needs and expectations are properly identified and met.

You may manage one or more projects during all phases and direct select staff and consultants to ensure that proper steps and procedures are taken in an effort to ensure project success.

This role is collaborative and client focused with a commitment to nurturing the client and project team relationships as well as design excellence.

LeadershipFoster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with Group LeadershipAssist group management in developing and validating project scope and fee, budget, and scope of services during the marketing and contract development processAssist in preparing project presentations.

May participate and/or lead client presentations.
Consistently provide complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team.

Responsible for managing project financials and completing work plan including identification of project team members, budget, consultants, schedule for completion, fees and costs as well as project change notices or other actions taking place on the assigned projectEnsures that budgets have been developed to provide for Quality Control Management through the life of the projectEnsure project profitability including the meeting of multiplier goals, work plans and scheduleFoster a culture of client service, both externally and internallyMarketing and SalesIdentify new business opportunities while developing current client relationships.

Listen for and seek out new projects which may exist or are being formulatedParticipate in select marketing and business development opportunities.

Workflow and Staff ManagementManagement of work including coordination of select projects as well as prioritization and scheduling of projects and staff in conjunction with Production DirectorPlan, organize and manages projects.

Provide on-going communication through team meetings/minutes/up-date memos to project team and group leadershipCommunicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants and other disciplines to ensure effective project coordinationMonitor construction administration during the construction phaseDevelop and maintains positive relationships with consultants and clientsMonthly market area revenue projections with a 3-month and 6-month look aheadParticipate in interviewing of professional staff as neededHelp to manage project ARStaff DevelopmentContinuously monitor project teams.

Motivate employees and facilitate open dialogue and feedbackSelect staff development including coaching and mentoring, and goal setting in conjunction with group leadershipPerformance assessment for select staff including performance reviews in conjunction with Production DirectorHelp to effectively deal with personnel issues within the group in conjunction with Human Resources and group leadershipEncourage staff exploration and innovation to achieve project design excellence and continual improvementTechnical LeadershipAssist with leadership and development of architecture projectsFacilitate coordination between project staff and subconsultants on multi-discipline projectsLarge project development and oversightAid in project specific, technical problem solvingFacilitate roadblock avoidance and resolutionQualifications:A minimum of 7 years in the Architectural design business (management, engineering, administration) with significant project experience in multidiscipline projectsAbility to effectively work in a team atmosphere and to manage multiple projects of a complex scope.

Strong knowledge of subconsultant services required on building projects including but not limited to MEP, Code consulting, kitchen specialists, acoustics specialists, cost estimators)Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.

Proven project management abilities to ensure on time and on budget delivery along with maximizing profitabilityStrong written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to be articulate and convincing in interviews and other presentationsLEED accreditation strongly encouraged.

Professional Architectural License with current registration in region(s) preferred.
Proficiency in Deltek Vision preferred.
Proficiency in Revit preferred.
