    Join Thermo King as a Controls Validation Engineer As a Controls Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for software testing, including requirements reviews, test preparation, execution, review results and defect reports. Additionally, you will collect, interpret, and understand data from internal and external customers to evaluate system behavior. You will also execute system and sub-system level testing to ensure system behavior meets implicit and explicit requirements and participate in design reviews, design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) and design validation plan and report (DVP&R) activities.

    Where is the work:

    This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Bloomington, MN.

    What you will do:

    • Software Test Life Cycle, including requirements reviews, test preparation, execution, results and defect review.
    • Build, test, and deploy supporting test systems.
    • Drive the gathering of inputs from cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Proactively provide status updates and progress metrics to supervisors.

    What you will bring:

    • 8+ Years of Experience as a Test Engineer or related role.
    • Proficiency with Software Development and Test Tools and Work Processes.
    • Experience authoring test designs required; experience with requirements management preferred.

    Key Competencies:

    • Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability.
    • Ability to meet short and long term deadlines.
    • Ability to co-operate with and mentor other test resources.
    • Knowledge of different test methodologies, tools, and practices.
    • Knowledge of software automation to include scripting, debugging, execution, and review.
    • Knowledge of HVAC, building control systems and devices a plus.
    • Understanding of object oriented and component based product development.
    • Ability to think "outside of the box" to offer creative solutions to problems.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Compensation:

    Annual Base Pay Range: $70, ,750
