    Job Summary
    We seek a Maintenance Technician to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of several assigned properties throughout the Bay Area.

    This will require daily travel to various properties and requires a combination of work order completion and some janitorial duties.

    The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the CCH team and helps keep our properties, focused on serving senior citizens, running smoothly.

    You ensure upkeep and safety of the property, and will jump in and work alongside the team. Work involves indoor and outdoor environments and flexibility to adapt to unplanned events, while remaining resourceful and efficient.

    Key Responsibilities

    Follows the assignment by performing, job duties/responsibilities including schedule created by the Facilities Coordinator
    Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various issues including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, sheet rock, etc.
    Provide excellent customer service while working with residents.
    Monitor and replenish maintenance inventory based on property needs, while staying within budget
    Complete ongoing property and unit inspections as needed, in addition to documenting updates and areas for improvement.
    Servicing CCH Central Office

    Walnut Creek, including tenant service requests and maintain property's curb appeal according to CCH standards
    Coordinate with various vendors as needed in regards to outsourced work at the property

    Works in coordination with central Facilities Operational Leads to ensure that maintenance teams deliver Safe, Appropriate and Sanitary Housing to all our residents.

    Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications and Requirements
    High School diploma or equivalent.
    Minimum of two (2) years as a Maintenance Tech
    Working Knowledge of Yardi Software
    Prior experience in apartment maintenance, affordable housing UPCS/REAC Inspections and resident occupied project renovations.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications, listening, presentation, group facilitation, influencing and negotiations.

    Effective use of mediation and conflict resolution techniques and processes for influencing performance management; Ability to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.

    Proficient with YARDI, Microsoft Office 365 platform and ability to quickly learn the organizations other systems.
    Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    Ability to serve with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet project deadlines.

    A valid driver license, reliable personal vehicle, personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies are essential job requirements.

    This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Facilities.

    CCH is committed to paying competitive wages. The salary range for this position is $ $28.56 / hour.

    Based on CCH's Compensation philosophy, the majority of new hires are brought in at the minimum of the salary range.

    This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

    This position is based at the CCH Central Office location for approximately 50% of the work week and dispatched to a Northern California property approximately 50% of the work week.

    Physical Demands
    Physical demands include continual sitting, typing, and repetitive computer use for up to 8 hours a day.

    The position requires frequent communication with others, including hearing and speaking clearly with individuals and groups, in person and via phone and video calls.

    Generally extensive physical exertion is also required. Prolonged periods of walking, bending, climbing, manual manipulations and use of hand tools. Must be able to regularly lift, move and carry items over 50 lbs. Occasional local travel required as necessary to fulfill assigned duties. Must be able to access and navigate property locations and the organizations various offices.
