The Associate Director Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) serves as the deputy to the Senior Director HSE and is responsible for leading a team of HSE employees to ensure health, safety, multi-media environmental, and HSE management system compliance and operational excellence at the Lilly Lebanon API facility, which is comprised of multiple production buildings, storage tank farms, utilities, waste operations, and laboratory and administrative facilities.
The Associate Director HSE is responsible for the productivity and development of the HSE employees, resolution of health, safety, and environmental issues and ensuring compliance to global and regulatory requirements.
This role provides HSE oversight for all site operations with a focus on environmental compliance and performance.
In the project delivery and startup phase of the project (startup expected 2025 to 2027), the HSE roles will be fluid and dynamic as we endeavor to support the project delivery, build a new organization, develop and implement the necessary systems and business processes required to support GMP operations, and build the site culture.
This will require significant collaboration, creativity and resilience as the site grows to a full scale GMP manufacturing through start up.
