- Work closely with Registered Nurses for patients in stable condition and provide direct care under their supervision.
- Receive work assignments from Charge Nurses or Care Team Leaders and demonstrate efficient time management.
- Coordinate activities on the inpatient unit, including patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Provide direct patient care and activities such as vital signs monitoring, specimen collection, meal assistance, EKG testing, blood glucose monitoring, assistance with exams and procedures, and more.
- Participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives, including hourly rounding, falls prevention, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Accurately document patient information and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Participate in unit activities like stocking supplies and maintaining equipment.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience as a PCA, PCT, NA, LPN, EMT, or similar roles
- 1 year in an acute or long-term care facility or enrolled in a Nursing program
- CPR Certification
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, and cardiac monitoring

Description
General Overview:
This job is all about providing direct care to patients and assisting with non-direct patient care unit coordination. In this role, you'll be performing basic nursing procedures related to the care and comfort of patients in a stable condition while understanding the needs of the patient population in your assigned work area. Additionally, you'll be supporting RNs in caring for acutely ill patients. Practicing medical asepsis, respecting patient and family dignity and privacy, and adhering to hospital policies and procedures are crucial. You'll also need to maintain the patient/family environment, ensure general unit upkeep, and communicate effectively through verbal and written means.
