    Job Description
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
    • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and requirements.
    • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitive pricing.
    • Develop complete bid packages and proposals for submission.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project details and resolve discrepancies.
    • Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases.
    • Participate in pre-construction meetings and support value-engineering efforts.
    • Track market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate forecasting.

    The Successful Applicant
    • Strong background in construction estimating, ideally 3-7 years of experience in commercial or industrial projects.
    • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage, PlanSwift).
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with precision.
    • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
    • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
