    The

    Senior People Experience (PX) Generalist


    is responsible for delivering an elevated level of service to a broad range of PX functions including, but not limited to, business partnering, employee relations, and employee engagement.

    This role is also responsible for interfacing with various functional groups across the business including Finance, IT, and Payroll. This position will be based at PowerSchool headquarters in Folsom, CA.
    Responsibilities

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

    Contribute to business strategy activities by supporting the Director and Senior PXBP managers to build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.

    Provide business partner support to a specific line of business in the Customer Experience organization and drive PX initiatives and outcomes.

    Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to key leaders and managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
    Serve as first point of contact for general PX inquiries.
    Ability to understand complex reporting and how to professionally deliver data to business leaders.
    Assist in the investigative process on employee relations matters and propose viable solutions.
    Analyze exit data and make recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement.
    Responsible for offboarding employees and completing exit interviews.
    Actively participate in PX team meetings and attend other meetings, as required.
    Participate in developing team goals and supporting strategic initiatives across PX.
    Support PowerSchool's DE&I initiatives.

    Regional responsibilities:
    Support Canada regional manager regarding policy updates, legislative compliance, as well as acquisitions and organizational changes.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications include:
    Bachelor's degree, preferred, or relevant industry experience.
    3+ years of HR generalist or business partner experience.
    Experienced in HR best business practices.

    Excellent communication skills:
    ability to respond appropriately to all levels in the organization.
    Strong people skills and ability to follow through and deliver high-level service to internal stakeholders.

    Ability to interpret data, trends, and provide advice to the business in terms of workforce planning while aligning to business strategies.

    Able to work both independently and collaboratively, as a part of a global People Experience team.
    Detail-oriented and highly organized.
    Uses appropriate discretion and maintains confidentiality.
    Consistently demonstrates credibility and ethical/professional conduct.
    Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law required.
    Experienced with Office 365 including communication tools such as Slack and Zoom.
    Professional HR Certification preferred (required after 2 years)
    Ability to travel, as required.

    Preferred requirements:
    Current knowledge of provincial Canadian legislation.
    Knowledge of Canadian HR reporting, compliance, and record keeping requirements.
