Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

As a Network Security Engineer II, your primary responsibility is to ensure the security of our network infrastructure. This involves reviewing emails and resolving open requests for firewall rule modifications promptly. You'll be expected to collaborate closely with team members to address security concerns and implement necessary changes.

Project Description:

The project entails maintaining and enhancing the security of our network infrastructure. This involves continuously monitoring and optimizing firewall configurations to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Performance Expectations/Metrics:

You will be evaluated based on your ability to communicate with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service effectively. Your success will be measured by your responsiveness to security incidents and your proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Previous Job Titles or Background:

Candidates with experience as interns in cybersecurity or related fields would be well-suited for this role. Additionally, individuals with a relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Computer Science, are preferred.

Internal/External Interfaces:

You'll interface with both internal and external groups, including colleagues within the cybersecurity team, IT personnel, and potentially external vendors or clients.

Required Skills/Experience:

Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and practices.

Strong understanding of network security protocols and technologies.

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Computer Science.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Experience in network security, including firewall administration.

Additional certifications or coursework in network security.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Computer Science is required. A focus on Cybersecurity is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
