- Oversee daily operation of construction projects
- Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
- Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
- Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
- 7+ years of experience in construction area. Strong project management and communications skills
- Ability to read construction documents
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
- Experience using Procore
- Survey the site and confirm conditions.
- Ability to confirm accuracy of plans against site actuals, perform a site layout with the project manager, manage delivery dates and long lead items, coordinate jobsite inspections, manage the quality of the work performed, maintain the Daily Report, ensure that the job stays on schedule and that all safety procedures are adhered to.
- Superintendent must be able to do his or her own layout, be knowledgeable and be able to confirm the subcontractors' layouts. He or she should independently check the layouts (i.e. lights, A/C diffusers, fire sprinklers) and if a discrepancy arises, find a solution.
- Coordinate with project manager to schedule subcontractors and vendors.
- All shop drawings (from mechanical, electricaland plumbing subs) are to be sent to the project manager within a few days of the start of the job. This is essential to our timely progress.
- Do not authorize any subcontractor to proceed with any extra work that is not on the plan and not included in the contract without prior authorization from the project manager. All work orders signed in the field must state very clearly that there is no price being agreed upon- just the extra work. Fill out the work order form as per instructions and include it on your daily report. This form may be used for extras, charge-backs and credits

Patagon Search ) has immediate openings for Construction Superintendents in Miami (Midtown) with a growing midsize construction firm. Our client has 75 or so employees and focuses on extreme quality for luxury commercial (retail and hospitality) and high-end (custom) residential clients. They focus on high-end finishing work.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.
