    Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking an entry-level hydrology & hydraulics engineer to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team in Sacramento, CA.

    Responsibilities include assisting with the analysis of hydropower facilities, water conveyance systems, watersheds and floodplains; construction document development; report writing, and designing water resources and other civil engineering projects. Some travel will be required.

    The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or closely related engineering field or be able to obtain degree within three months of hire date.

    The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

    • 1-2 years of relevant hydrology and hydraulics work experience
    • Open channel hydraulics coursework
    • Municipal hydraulics coursework
    • Watershed hydrology coursework
    • Coastal engineering coursework or work experience
    • Previous H&H, civil, or closely related engineering internship
    • Experience with H&H modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, HydroCAD)
    • Experience with spreadsheet and coding solutions for engineering applications (MS Excel, VBA, Python, MATLAB, or closely related software)
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
    • Experience with ESRI GIS (ArcGIS Pro or similar) products for data editing and geoprocessing workflows

    The ideal candidate will have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or possess the Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
