    This role will be located in our North Sydney office, with regular travel to sites, and will be reporting to the Head of Sales.

    Responsibilities

    A Smart Commercial Solar Business Development Manager works within the Sales Team under the Head of Sales.

    This role has the primary

    function

    of driving new business

    which includes

    many sub-roles and responsibilities.

    Specific responsibilities include:
    Prospect, Network and Open Doors within commercial companies
    Build relationshipswith internal teams
    Dissect, Analyse and Target specific industry verticals
    Coordinate with internal Engineering and Analysis teams to win opportunities.
    Develop industry specific knowledge and expertise and effectively articulate theSmartvalue proposition for all offerings.
    Pipeline generation, management and forecasting in line with monthly and quarterly sales targets.
    Weekly face to face meetings with customers.
    Drive customer(andinternal)social events.

    Key Qualifications & Skills

    We are open to non-industry experience, you could have sold software, telecommunications, media, fruit...We look for attitude and desire first
    Ingrained tenacity and enthusiasmisa prerequisite.
    Track record of strong sales performance.
    Experience of consultative solution-based selling.
    Experience selling to C-level and business owners desirable.
    A Structured and methodical sales process.
    An ability to have direct conversations about return on investment.
    Confident communicator and presenter.
    Absolute team player and collaborator.
    Attention to detail and a sense of urgency paramount.
