Position Summary:

As the Pharmacy Technician Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy specific pharmaceuticals which support the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of chemotherapy treatments for patients with an oncology diagnosis.

You will work closely with our Oncology Pharmacists to ensure that treatment is delivered safely and efficiently.

Experience
At least 2 years Pharmacy Technician experience in sterile compounding highly preferred
Prior experience with Omnicell, Cerner or other similar programs preferred but not required
Competency in the safe handling of chemotherapy drugs obtained within 6 months and renewed annually


Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
Pharmacy Technician National Certification (e

g:
CPhT or ExCPT) required
New York State Pharmacy Technician registration required
National IV certification preferred
