Position Title: Fleet Telematics Specialist

Reports to: Safety Director

Job Summary:

A Fleet Telematics Specialist is responsible for the tracking and oversight of telematics, hours of service, and driver safety for the Lampton Love family of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assigning Samsara coaching and performing/assisting in-person coaching for safety events
  • Monitoring hours of service & ELD exemptions
  • Monitoring driver scores, identifying and addressing areas of improvement
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting functionality of telematics systems and equipment, coordinating with vendors as necessary
  • Locating, extracting, & reviewing footage from Samsara to monitor driving behaviors
  • Assisting in incident investigations by analyzing footage from Samsara
  • Compiling & distributing reports on driver behavior, safety trends, and other telematic data
  • Attending and participating in monthly safety meetings
  • Additional responsibilities assigned by Safety Director – Lampton Love, Inc.

Qualifications:

  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel to branch locations with overnight travel possible
  • Experience in transportation industry, with commercial driving experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with employees at corporate and front-line levels
  • 5 years experience in propane or logistics industries
  • Proficiency in Samsara Fleet software preferred
